| The Instituto Cervantes is a public institution created by Spain in 1991 for the promotion and teaching of the Spanish language and the dissemination of Spanish and Latin American culture. The Instituto Cervantes manages and administrates the Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE), which takes place in three annual sittings (May, August and November) through its more than 600 examination centres located in more than 100 countries. It is also a pioneer in Spanish distance learning. |
